Chelsea 5-0 Genk

Chelsea played Genk today and truely showed what they were made of as they beat Genk 5-0. Genk who were at bad form we were outplayed by Chelsea. In the opening minutes Torres almost opened the scoring but was denied by the post. However it didn't take long for Chelsea  to score as Raul Meireles scored from outside the box with an amazing shot which went flying into the bottom corner. It was his first goal for the club. After only 3 minutes gone Chelsea had scored again as Fernado Torres scored a great goal to finally get his first goal for Chelsea in the Champions League. It really was a game which was dominated by Chelsea. Then in the 27th minute Torres was on the score sheet again after scoring an amazing header. Right before half time Chelsea scored AGAIN as Ivanovic headed home a great goal after a great delivery from Malouda. So Chelsea went into half time 4-0 up. Genk didn't really have much to do in the first half maybe a couple crosses in but lead to nothing.

As the second half began Ashely Cole came off as Paulo Ferriara came on and for Genk Masuero came off for Camus. After a slow second half Chelsea had a couple good chances. Lampard after making an assist for Torres came off for Kalou who came on to score. Then Barda came off for Dugary but did not help Genk too much. Chelsea after made a third subsitute as they took off bosingwa for Alex which meant Ivanovic went into the right back position. Genk also used their third subsitute Vossen off and Nwanganga on. In the end Chelsea cruised through but even though Torres scored two another player that stood out was Romeu.
